Data Protection

On the 25th May 2018 the UK enacted the General Data Protection Regulations, creating a more robust regulatory environment for the protection of personal data.

Our business interests do not require or depend on the gathering of detailed personal information for the purpose of gaining a business advantage or any form of financial gain.

The personal client data held by Tektaal Ltd exists in the form of names, telephone numbers and email addresses.  All of which are held in order to maintain our business relationship, which we consider to be a legitimate business interest.  However, our business interest does not supercede the rights of individuals, who may request at any time, their rights to rectification, access or erasure of any personal data held by Tektaal Ltd.

Personal data will not be shared with third party individuals or companies and no data will be stored outside of the UK.  Internal software used for routine computing, both internally and online are considered to be appropriate, providing adequate protection of all stored information.  All received hard copy and printed information are always shredded prior to disposal, once no longer needed.

If at any time your organisation or an individual within your organisation should have reason to believe that personal data has been misused, we urge you to contact us immediately, so that we can rectify the situation.  Alternatively, you can complain directly to the information commissioner at www.ico.org.uk .

We expect your organisation to hold similar information on individuals working for Tektaal Ltd, in order to maintain our business relationship, whilst requesting that you must abide by the General Data Protection Regulations.  No personal data pertaining to our employees should be shared with third parties without permission, unless the act of doing so is in the interest of works in hand.  Under no circumstances should our information be subjected to automated processes.
